JEANA HOPPER
M.S. LPC
My name is Jeana Hopper and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated from Henderson State University in 2013 with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My husband and I married in 2009 and moved to the FS area shortly after. We have 5 adult children and enjoy being grandparents.
“The world will only feel like a safe place when we feel safe on the inside.”
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, including couples and relationship counseling. I am trauma-trained and have worked with clients experiencing grief, addiction, past victims of crime, and family issues involving childhood trauma.
I often pair EMDR with other approaches and interventions, depending on the needs of my client, to support a rich, therapeutic environment. EMDR therapy is used to help people suffering from emotional distress, including trauma, anxiety and panic, fears and phobias, loss, and disturbing memories. It can help unlock the negative impact of traumatic events, allowing clients to live happier, more fulfilling lives.
I am passionate about helping my clients, recognizing that for each client I see, I may be the only person in their life capable of both hearing and holding their pain. Therapy helps us understand ourselves and how we impact others, promoting healing as well as personal and spiritual growth. I consider my clients the experts in their lives and approach them in a holistic and non-judging manner. My role as your counselor is to be the expert in treatment; therefore, you and I are equals in our therapeutic relationship. I look forward to meeting you and joining you in your journey to restoration and growth.
