Client-Centered Therapy

As we work through all of the issues and begin moving to a place of healing, we’ll also focus on specific skills that you can develop to reshape the way you think and the way you manage your feelings.

My approach to therapy is Client-Centered, which focuses on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with clients in order to allow them to more freely explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Client-Centered therapy involves meeting clients on their level instead of being in the role of expert or sage who will provide all the answers. It also involves authenticity, which I believe helps to build trust and rapport with clients. Even though I’m a therapist, I’m also a normal human who struggles with life issues too. Most importantly, Client-Centered therapy involves empathy, the ability to understand and relate to the way a client is feeling.

When I work with you, it’s collaborative. We work together to explore the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are interfering with your life. As we work through all of the issues and begin moving to a place of healing, we’ll also focus on specific skills that you can develop to reshape the way you think and the way you manage your feelings. I would love to work with you on addressing the issues that you’re struggling with and walk with you on your path to healing and happiness.
